Project Brick Supplier - TAITONE BRICK
Welcome to our project showcase on the remarkable transformation of The Mews Restaurant in Macao using Taitone reclaimed red brick tiles. We are honored to have been designated as the direct supplier for the Mews Project by a British Designer, with the privilege of collaborating with a local Macau construction team in May, 2020. After going through six rounds of meticulous sample revisions, we have ultimately finalized the project, it's indeed amazing and remarkable.
As the Michelin Selected Resaurant in Macau, the Mews highlights the beauty and sustainability of incorporating antique bricks into modern design, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere for diners. It underwent a significant renovation to enhance its aesthetic appeal and align with eco-friendly building practices. The designers chose to use Taitone brick, known for its high-quality reclaimed bricks sourcedfrom historical buildings.
Unique Historical and Aesthetic Appeal
Historical Inspiration | The Mews Restaurant inspired by Sir Robert Bowring, a fictional British merchant from the early 1900s. This adds a rich backstory and depth to the design. |
Architectural Features | Reclaimed brick ceilings and horse farrier tool in the bar area, which contribute to the historical theme and immersive experience. |
Whimsical Charm | Curated bric-a-brac, art, curios, and ornaments that create a whimsical and inviting atmosphere. |
Design Implementation
The design team meticulously selected and installed the Taitone brick tiles to create feature walls and accents throughout The Mews Restaurant. The warm tones and textured surfaces of the bricks provide a cozy and welcoming environment for guests.
The material choose TAITONE reclaimed brick tiles, cut from vintage full brick.
